Directions: From I-64 in Charlottesville, take exit 121 (Route 20 south). Go mile; turn left on Route 53. Go mile, see Carter Mountain sign on right. Next to Michie Tavern and Monticello.
Hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m., weekends, April and May; 9 a.m.-6 p.m., daily, June-October; 9 a.m.-5 p.m., daily, November; 10 a.m.-5 p.m., weekends, December. Please call or check our Web site to confirm hours of operation prior to your visit.
Comments: Located mile from Monticello, Michie Tavern and Ash Lawn. Spectacular 40-mile view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Piedmont. Observation decks and picnic tables are available. SOL-based school field trip programs available by appointment. Hayrides on weekends in October. On-premises bakery. Apple Harvest Festival, 1st and 2nd weekends in October - celebrate the harvest at our annual festival - apple picking, hayrides, crafts, lots of food, music, pumpkins and more. Senior Citizen Discount every Tuesday.
Products: Family-owned and operated farm featuring pick-your-own peaches and apples, in season (visit our Web site for approximate ripening dates). Fresh-picked fruit, Country Store (featuring local crafts, jams and jellies, gourmet food products, seasonal merchandise and more). Wine shop, pumpkins and bakery, serving our famous Apple Cider Donuts, seasonal pies, cookies, ice cream and more. Apple butter, apple cider and peach cider available.
