Red Delicious or Ginger Gold apples, cored and cut into 1/2 inch pieces In a 2-quart microwavable casserole, combine the apples, pears, raisins, orange juice, sugar, lemon juice, ginger, and allspice. Cover tightly with a lid or vented plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 9 to 14 minutes, or until the fruits have softened, stirring after 5 minutes. Stir in the nuts. Re-cover and let stand for 15 minutes. Remove the ginger slices. Serve warm. Makes 4 servings.
